David Gray, P.E. graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and has been in active practice in civil engineering in the Central Texas area full-time since then. His experience began with several years at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality where he left to become a member and subsequently partner with Haynie, Kallman, & Gray from 1978 to 1989. David founded Gray Engineering, Inc. in 1989 and continues to work as an active member of Gray Civil today.

David has been involved as the lead design engineer on numerous civil engineering projects in and around Central Texas during his 48-year career in the civil engineering industry. In this role, he has led planning, design, and management of projects involving utility and drainage infrastructure improvements within a multitude of local cities, counties, MUDs, WCIDs, and WSCs.
