CIVIL ENGINEERING | LAND DEVELOPMENT
Gray Civil is seeking a highly motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team.
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution
EIT certification, or the ability to obtain, within 6 months
Strong technical proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to collaborate with team members
Commitment to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience or internships in civil engineering is desirable but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive engineering plans, files and documents for land development projects using Civil3D and other design programs.
Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data necessary for project planning and design.
Perform calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and project specifications.
Work with supervisors and other design staff to continually improve and implement processes that ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.
Familiarize yourself and stay informed of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to contribute innovative solutions to project challenges.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
