CIVIL ENGINEERING | LAND DEVELOPMENT

Gray Civil is seeking a highly motivated Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution

  • EIT certification, or the ability to obtain, within 6 months

  • Strong technical proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate with team members

  • Commitment to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience or internships in civil engineering is desirable but not required

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare comprehensive engineering plans, files and documents for land development projects using Civil3D and other design programs.

  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather data necessary for project planning and design.

  • Perform calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and project specifications.

  • Work with supervisors and other design staff to continually improve and implement processes that ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.

  • Familiarize yourself and stay informed of industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to contribute innovative solutions to project challenges.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
