Garages of the Americas | Tim Myers

Gray Civil partnered with Garages of the Americas (GOTA) to design the site plan for the Austin Garages of the Americas, a premier $55 million development tailored specifically for car collectors. Situated on an 18 acre site directly across from the iconic Circuit of The Americas F1 racetrack in Austin, Texas, this state-of-the-art site plan allows for up to 200 garage suites designed with the discerning car enthusiast in mind.

Gray Civil championed the coordination with the City of Austin, Travis County, and Travis County ESD No. 4 to receive grandfathering rights and permitting within this challenging landscape in rural East Austin. The site includes extra wide accessways to account for trailer truck traffic for maximum accessibility as well as its very own fire suppression system designed to meet international standards for fire protection while supplementing the City of Austin’s undersized system. This project also included considerations for the environment with placement of detention and on-site septic areas, achieving state and local regulations. An additional use on this site includes a fully remodeled car repair shop that existed on the site before construction and now is available to the patrons of the newly built garage condos.

The GOTA site plan was thoughtfully designed to provide an optimal environment for automobile storage, parking, maintenance, and display. The development promises a unique blend of functionality and opulence, creating an unparalleled location where car collectors can come together to share their passion.
